Q1. I keep getting Advertising websites popping up that I do not want, I cant stop them, what can I do ?
A1. You have been HI-JACKED, and you are now infected by one of the many Web based Trojans. Update your Anti-virus program, run a scan, and remove any spy-ware, if it still happens give me call, it could be a serious infection See A2. Below.

Q2. I keep getting a message coming up telling me I have a virus, and that I should "Click Here" to get rid of it
A2. Unless this is from your existing Anti-virus Program, DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING THE ONLY VIRUS YOU HAVE IS ONE THEY PUT THERE ! This is a very bad form of sales, AT BEST, they want you to buy their product, and have introduced this problem to frighten you into buying something from them. AT WORST, they want your Credit / Bank card details, so they can spend your money before you realise what's happened. CLOSE INTERNET EXPLORER, AND ANY WINDOWS, SHUT DOWN YOUR PC AND CALL ME STRAIGHT AWAY !

Q3. I keep getting rude / pornographic images popping up on my screen what can I do ?
A3. You Have a Virus / Malware infection See A2. Above

Q4. My Pc is so slow, I have to wait ages for it to boot up, and when it does it takes forever for it to do anything, do I need a new computer ?
A4. Not Always, Windows has been upgraded over recent years, and it makes more and more demands on your hardware. It maybe just a simple fix to add a little more memory, upgrade your processor or clean your hard drive of old and redundant programs, to bring it back to life. Q6. My Children often have their friends over with laptops and they all want to use the Internet, is it possible for them to share the Internet connection ?
A6. YES, add a piece of equipment called a "Router" to your set up, and you can share your connection. Add a "Wireless Router" for even more flexibility. Give me a call to discuss your best option.

Q7. I've heard terrible stories about viruses and I'm worried about my security, what’s the best Anti-virus program ?
A7. There are many good Anti-virus programs available today, some of them are even free ! The most important thing to remember is that they deal with both Viruses AND Spy-ware. Most are valid for 1 year, some for 3 years, then you have to pay again to renew your subscription. WARNING: DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAMS FROM THE WEB UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT THEY ARE FROM A REPUTABLE WEBSITE / SUPPLIER. You can always call me if you are unsure or worried.
