Acrobat Standard’s limitations are also easy to spot. The biggest omission is OCR, which means you can’t turn scanned documents into searchable or editable text unless you move up to Acrobat Pro. Redaction and document comparison are missing too, and those are meaningful gaps for anyone handling sensitive files or reviewing multiple versions of the same document.

Adobe also reserves more advanced AI and collaboration features for higher-tier plans. That may not matter if all you want is a dependable PDF editor, but it does reinforce how tightly scoped Standard is.
